Cultural Affairs Bureau of Hsinchu County Government, formerly known as Hsinchu County Cultural Center, was established in 1996 and was reorganized as the Hsinchu County Cultural Bureau in 2000. Cultural Affairs Bureau is mainly a compound building with three floors above ground composed of the cultural characteristics of Hakka culture. One of distinguishing features in Cultural Affairs Bureau is our public art, which essence is extracted from both the traditional and modern culture such as the Stone Pen, the Morning Bell, the Communication, the He Map and the Luo Writing, and a series of rural-life sculptures, all reveal the abundance of our elegant culture. In addition, 13 pairs of copper lions on the Hanlin Bridge of Xianzheng 9th Road with different design, representing the 13 villages/towns of  Hsinchu County. Hsinchu County  features abundant living requirements and convenient traffic routes.
With the gradual establishment of the Hsinchu Science Park and University Town, the addition of high-speed railways, highways (National Highways No. 1, No. 3), and expressways (western, east-west) will make the cultural environment of Hsinchu County a diverse Style, we not only need to preserve the inherent cultural traditions, but also devote ourselves to the presentation of multicultural characteristics, so that the different cultural characteristics of each ethnic group and each region will become the basis for constructing a cultural city.
